It’s holiday time :)

On Friday we’ll be winging our way to the Canary Island of Tenerife for a lovely week long holiday. What a wonderful thought. 7 days of (lets hope), Sunshine, sea, sand, sights, scrumcious food and mouth watering cocktails… oh yeah baby, Pina Colada’s are the business!

We fly very early on Friday morning so we’ll be rising at around 3am to get the airport on time – gives us the whole day on the other side.

Then, on Tuesday we we will celebrate 2 years of marriage – it has been such a fantastic 2 years, very busy and sometimes rather stressful but on the whole it has been brilliant. Kendall and I still get on as well as we did 8 years ago, if not better and that continues to make me the happiest Fishhii around. I am so grateful for everything in my life!

The sun is shining so bright today making everything take on a new hue. I so adore the sunshine especially when I can feel it heating me up from the inside – it is so SUNNYLICIOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I’m looking forward to the long evenings in the English Summer – braai’s, friends, long walks, wearing less clothes and hanging out in the garden :) When the sun smiles, so do I – I’m such a simple girl.

On a more random note I just love the Russian Meerkat on the Compare the Market advert – cracks me up every time. Since when were Meerkats Russian that’s what I’d like to know? I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall when whichever bright spark in the Adverising team proposed the Russian Meerkat idea…the board must have been in stitches – hahahahahahaha

Moving on to more serious matters – if you have followed the Josef Fritzl story with his Dungeon family you will most probably be aware he is on trial now for his atrocities. What really get’s me is what was the man thinking? what drives a human being to place a member of his family in a dungeon for 24 years while she bore 7 of his incestuous children? The Pschie of this man must be completely warped! To Elizabeth and her Children wherever you are I hope you are doing okay under the circumstances and I sincerely hope that one day who will lead as close to a normal life as possible – You all surely deserve it.

Moving away from the misery now, the DA in South Africa have won the right for South Africans living temporarily abroad to vote in the upcoming elections! What a win! I urge all my fellow South Africans out there who are able to vote, to make the effort, head over to South Africa house in Trafalgar Square if you are in London and cast your vote on the 15 April 2009. If you are else where in the world find out where to go and get there! We all need to work together to make a difference, the sooner we all realise that, the better for all of us!

Okay so enough from me for now. We’ll post some pics when we back from holiday!

Mwah to all X – Jen-Jen
